The Duskfade demo is a free sample released for Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The expanded June 2026 build offers more than an hour of gameplay, and its progress does not transfer to the full game.

Where to play the Duskfade demo

Official announcements list the demo on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It first launched around Tokyo Game Show on September 26, 2025, then received an update in October 2025 and a substantially expanded build in June 2026. Use the official storefront for your platform rather than an unofficial download mirror.

The full game launched on August 13, 2026. Whether every demo storefront will remain available indefinitely after launch is Pending confirmation; storefront status can change, so check the platform page at the time you download it.

What the updated sample includes

Weird Beluga said the June version contains roughly 50% more gameplay than the earlier demo. It expands Tick Town, adds more NPCs, includes four difficulty settings, and lets players see four biomes, with the Mines specifically named in the announcement. These details make old impressions from the original 2025 build incomplete descriptions of the current sample.

The demo is designed to show Duskfade’s 3D platforming and adventure structure. It should be treated as a preview, not a complete catalog of the finished game’s areas, collectibles, or progression systems.

How long the demo lasts

The developer describes the June 2026 demo as offering more than an hour of gameplay. One recorded full run lasts around 1 hour 25 minutes, demonstrating how exploration and retries can add time. The official source does not give an exact completion time for every play style.

Older community estimates may refer to different demo versions or different definitions of completion. For a source-by-source comparison, see the Duskfade demo length guide.

Does progress transfer?

No demo progress carries into the full game. Weird Beluga’s August 2026 FAQ says players must start from the beginning because the release contains more content and polish. The research found no official platform exception to that rule.

The exact list of opening changes is Pending confirmation, but the save policy itself is confirmed. You can explore freely to evaluate the game, provided you expect to replay the opening after purchase.
