Duskfade Demo Length: How Long Does It Take?
The current Duskfade demo offers more than one hour of gameplay according to Weird Beluga's June 2026 Steam announcements. A recorded full playthrough lasts about 1 hour 25 minutes, but exploration, retries, and route choices make individual times vary.
Official Duskfade demo length
Weird Beluga described the updated demo as containing “over an hour”of gameplay on June 16, 2026. An earlier June 7 announcement called it one hour of platforming action. These two statements point to the same practical expectation: allow at least an hour for a straightforward first run, rather than treating the demo as a short ten-minute sample.
The developer has not published an exact minute count. Any claim that every player will finish in a fixed time is therefore unsupported. The safest verified answer is more than one hour for the June 2026 version.
Why your playtime may be longer
A full-demo recording published by NeatPick runs for 1:24:50. That video is useful as a real example, but it is not an official target and should not be read as a universal completion time. Looking around Tick Town, talking to NPCs, missing jumps, or replaying a section can all extend a run.
Community estimates that claim several hours for a first clear were also found in the collected material. They conflict with the official description and use unclear completion criteria, so they are not used as the main estimate here. Whether those figures include extensive exploration or repeated attempts is Pending confirmation.
What changed in the June 2026 demo
The June update matters because older playtime reports refer to a smaller build. Weird Beluga said the revised demo added roughly 50% more gameplay, expanded Tick Town with more NPCs, introduced four difficulty settings, and let players visit four biomes, including the Mines. An estimate from the 2025 launch version is therefore not directly comparable with the current build.
When comparing videos or comments, check their publication date first. Reports from before June 2026 may still describe genuine experiences, but they do not measure the expanded version that the developer currently describes.
How it compares with the full game
The demo is only a sample and does not establish the length of the finished adventure. Weird Beluga has separately discussed a much longer full-game experience, with time varying according to secrets and completion goals. See the Duskfade length guide for those estimates and their different scopes.
Demo progress also does not transfer into the released game. Players have to begin again because the developer says the full opening contains additional content and polish. That restart does not change the demo’s own length, but it matters when deciding how much to explore before buying.
